My name is Levi Painter, and I plan on teaching math in junior-high or high-school. I would prefer 11th or 12th grade because the math subjects at this level are more fun. I would also like to teach computer science.
Math is traditionally taught with chalk and slate, but there are a few things that technology can do to help out. Overhead projectors are nice, as are Smartboards. However, Smartboards cost around $7,000 and I will be very surprised if I have access to one at a public high-school. For teaching geometry, there is a great software tool called Geometer's Sketchpad which I will most likely use if I ever teach geometry.
Of course, if I am lucky enough to teach computer science, I will be using a lot of technology in the classroom. Computer science is a science that creates technology as well. A computer science class will require computers and intelligent software. Also, for a computer science class a computer projector is almost necessary so that students can watch the teacher write code in real time.
